a while back i was in fred meyer reading photo technique mag and happened upon an article about a method of creating images in the darkroom without a camera wile at the same time avoiding the bland nature of most photograms. dont get me wrong ive seen some radd photograms but for the most part they're really uninteresting to me. anyway here's the phototech online tease of the nolangram technique http://www.phototechmag.com/index.php/past-issues/januaryfebruary-2010/nolan-preece/ . for the pdf download of that months phototech i gotchya covered....

so i made one of these and it twerks beautifully. i highly suggest erecting one. i use a mamiya 645 pro tl with it mostly but a also drilled a mount for canon bodies.
note: with the 80mm on the mamiya body there is some intrusion on the image made by the shade but nothing some cropping cant fix. plus the specular highlights are dope.
here some of the pix i took with it.

a fresh start
well heres to a new blog. i had a good run on www.idontgotnojob.blogspot.com but my time and understanding there is spent. anyway this spot is hopefully going to be a highly mispelled and often times socially incorrect medium for braudcast of my hobbies and interests. to give ya an idea of what is in store my current facinations have included everything from how to build a ringflash for slr cameras to everything " punkrock". well with that enjoi!
